3D Modeling
Computer-Aided Design (CAD) has become the norm for most engineering companies, including GloTech, yet it remains an indispensable and highly effective tool. At GloTech, we leverage CAD in all our products, creating precise and detailed 2D and 3D models. This visualization enables us to create and integrate complex designs. For GloTech, CAD streamlines the entire design workflow, from initial concept to final production, enhancing productivity and fostering innovation. The ability to iterate and refine designs quickly ensures that GloTech meets client specifications efficiently, maintaining its competitive edge in the engineering sector.
Moreover, CAD software integrates seamlessly with other engineering tools, such as our Laser Scanning technologies, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), allowing for comprehensive testing and validation of designs under simulated real-world conditions. Our Laser Scanning capabilities generate point cloud models for real-world data that we convert into highly accurate 3D models for analyses during our RE-DO™ process. The integration with FEA and CFD ensures that all designs are optimized for performance and meet stringent safety and regulatory standards.
For GloTech, CAD also improves collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, with solutions being shared with designers, customers, tool makers, and quality teams regardless of team members’ locations. This collaborative approach enhances communication and accelerates decision-making processes, ensuring that projects stay on schedule and within budget.
CAD technology remains a powerful asset that enables GloTech to deliver high-quality, innovative engineering solutions that meet the evolving needs of its clients.
Case Study
Syrup Pump Project
Background
Customer wanted to develop a syrup pump to be used for soda machine system on commercial airlines. By substituting "soda machine" for "soda can", this airline customer aims to enhance its cost competitiveness
GloTech Solution
Due to the size and weight constraints specified by this airline customer, the existing off-the-shelf syrup pump cannot be accommodated. GloTech conducted an in-depth analytical analysis and numerical simulation (CFD) and successfully designed a scaled version that meets the design targets in terms of size, weight, and pump capacity.
Results
A highly customized product solution that surpassed the customer's performance requirements while achieving the desired size envelope.
